The tender and young 2020 Guardaviñas is open, expressive, clean and precise, an example that you can produce a red with no added sulfur without deviation and as little intervention as possible. Furthermore, the vineyard, in the zone known as El Bardallo, was cultivated following the biodynamic principles even if nothing is certified here. 2020 was a catastrophic vintage with a massive mildew attack that decimated the yields. With only 13.5% alcohol, the wine is medium-bodied, balanced, soft and tender, with very fine tannins and a long, dry finish. Only 40% of the wine matured in barrel for 11 months, and the rest was kept in stainless steel. 2,075 bottles were filled in December 2021.
