Made with Viura grapes that are inter-planted as so-called "cabezadas" in predominantly red vineyards, this superb white hails from Ábalos, Labastida and San Vicente. Effortlessly poised and concentrated, with a shimmering citrus fruit core, fine oak, leesy intensity and top notes of aniseed and honeysuckle. 2024-30

I usually like the Viura, and in 2021 it's not different. I love the austerity, seriousness, elegance and subtleness of the 2021 Viura, produced with grapes from individual vines found in the different old vineyards and intermixed with the reds in the field. I love the purity, precision and symmetry, the vibrant and lively palate and the depth and pungency that mixes aromatic herbs with incredible freshness. This has to be the finest.
