Still very young, this gewurztraminer marries a cornucopia of delicate tropical-flower aromas with a totally focused palate, in which there is every bit as much concentration as freshness and vibrancy. Breathtakingly clean finish for this grape variety! From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
From a plot with steadily high acidity, the 2020 Altenbourg Gewurztraminer offers a clear, pure and fresh, deep yet refined and complex bouquet with bright fruit and beautiful spicy aromas. Very delicate and perfectly round on the palate, this is a dense and fresh, quite tonic Gewürztraminer with a tight, tensioned and saline finish that moderates the sweetness. This should be excellent with fresh cheese. 13.5% stated alcohol with 35 grams per liter of residual sugar. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2022.
