Arzuaga Reserva 2017

I slightly prefer the 2018 release, but this Reserva is pretty special too, partly because the bodega didn't lose a lot of fruit to frost in 2017. Dominated by grapes from Gumiel de Izán in Burgos, grown on red clay soils, it's a cuvée of Tinto Fino with 3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot. Poised, balanced and aromatic, with the oak integration that's a feature of the Arzuaga Navarro style. 2022-27
