Can Blau 2012

"The 2010 Can Blau is a blend of 40% Syrah, 40% Carinena and 20% Garnacha from 25- to 40-year-old vines growing on clay and limestone soils. The nose is a little smudged at first with dark plum, shoe polish and licorice aromas. The palate is full-bodied with gripping tannins and a lot of plush fruit. The mid-palate is cohesive, yet there are some bitter, slightly volatile notes marring the finish. Examining both samples over a period of two hours, they appear to deteriorate in the glass".
