I tasted the 2019 Casalabor (instead of the 2020, which is the vintage of the other wines I tasted next to it), and it shows the aromatic profile and character of a very dry year in the zone. It was produced with the Arcos variety, one of the local grapes he has recovered. It's harmonious and complex and has a mixture of berry fruit, herbs and spices, with nuance, elegance and seriousness and only 13.5% alcohol. It's powerful but feels light and elegant. This matured in used 500-liter French oak barrels for 16 months. 1,400 bottles were filled in December 2021.
