Recensioni degli esperti

James Suckling:

Medium-bodied with sleek, creamy tannins. Pretty core of plum and blueberry fruit with chocolate, too. Very finely textured and in balance. 81% merlot and 19% cabernet franc.

Jeb Dunnuck:

A plump, juicy, straight-up delicious red, the 2021 Château Puygueraud offers lots of ripe blue fruits, notes of peppery herbs, medium-bodied richness, and a soft, forward, already hard to resist style. Based on 79% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Franc, still aging in 30% new barrels, it's ideal for drinking on release and over the following 7-8 years or so.

The Wine Advocate:

Aromas of sweet berries, cassis and petals preface the 2021 Puygueraud, a medium to full-bodied, lively and seamless wine with a pretty core of fruit and a mineral finish. This is a fine effort from Nicolas Thienpont and his team.

Decanter:

Scented red berry notes on the nose, clean and clear. Lively and so appealing, just such an easy charm here, not trying to do too much. Smooth and soft with the fragrance continuing on the palate alongside juicy red berry fruit, gentle creaminess and a subtle liquorice base. So expressive, you get the light structure with youthful appeal. Lightly framed but this has an energetic thrust with an iodine, salty tang at the end. Julien Lavenu consultant. A lovely wines from Francs this year. Tasted twice. Drinking Window 2024 - 2030.
