Château Sigalas Rabaud 2003

Ex-chateau bottle tasted blind in Sauternes. The Sigalas Rabaud ’03 has turned out to be one of the finest Sauternes of the vintage. It has an attractive nose of lemon curd, dried pineapple and mango – touches of yellow flower and lanolin developing with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous opening. This is well-balanced with a lovely candied core of fruit, citrus acidity and commendable precision on the fresh, vital, effervescent finish. I would seek out this lovely wine that has genuine long-term potential. Drink now-2030. - Neal Martin.
