Clos Baltasar 2017

Recensioni degli esperti
The old-vine Garnacha 2017 Clos Baltasar contains small percentages of other grapes like Miguel de Arco, Bobal or Monastrell that are co-planted in the field. 2017 was a warm, ripe, early and low yielding year. The grapes from schist and clay soils in the villages of Atea and Acered, fermented with 75% full clusters in concrete vats and the wine matured in a combination of concrete eggs and 300- and 500-liter French oak barrels. It had a very unusual nose with savory notes redolent of boiled ham, a little brothy, quite expressive à la Rhône (think Cornas rather than anything southern), voluptuous, showy and impressive. There were 22,000 bottles produced and bottled in September 2018.

Fruta negra-roja, notas esoeciadas y balsámicas. Tostado sutil. Potente, amplio, sabroso, serio. Final complejo donde destaca fruta madura
Interesante garnacha de montaña. La altitud le da algún grado menos y hace que la fruta no sea tan madura. Recomendable
