Corral de Campanas 2011

(Sobre añada 2010) "The 2010 Corral de Campanas is pure Tinta de Toro from their 11 hectares of young vines between 6 and 15 years old. It is aged 50% in American oak from Mendocino for nine months with 50% new oak, the remainder in stainless steel with micro-oxygenation. It has a simple, fruit-driven bouquet of sappy blackberry, pomegranate and cranberry fruit that is missing a little delineation but demonstrates good intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with a chewy entry. There is plenty of ripe wild strawberry and mulberry fruit with a punchy, assertive entry that does not outstay its welcome. This is very commendable for the price. Drink now-2017".
