The red 2019 El Hombre Bala comes from a number of vineyards in the village of Cadalso de los Vidrios. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in a combination of oak vats and barrels for 14 months. It's quite peachy, aromatic and expressive, and it is more fruit-driven, developing a faint note of black olive and meaty bacon. It has the strict, silty tannins from a warmer year, and time in bottle should do it good. I like the palate better than the nose, as it has balance and is contained. 20,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2020.
