Epistem Noº 3 2014

The 2015 Epistem n. 3 from a classical, healthy Mediterranean year is 35% Monastrell, 35% Syrah and 30% Garnacha Tintorera fermented in open vats and matured in different size barrels. It's a powerful wine with 15.5% alcohol. It felt serious and balanced within its XL style, dark and with black fruit aromas, hints of tar and graphite and some Mediterranean herbs, minty, spicy and balsamic with time in the glass. It's full-bodied, powerful and concentrated, very good in its style. 13,000 bottles were filled in February 2017. - Luis Gutiérrez. 

Deep and earthy nose showing blackcurrants, cranberries and raspberries. Some earth, too. Medium body, soft tannins and a fresh finish. A little one-dimensional. Drink now.
