The 2017 Maceración con Pieles has a slightly deeper color than the 2018 I tasted next to it. It has aromas of orange peel and a honeyed touch, with notes reminiscent of some Sauternes (but there's no botrytis here). The grapes were picked almost two weeks earlier, with lower alcohol and also lower acidity. This is quite mellow and tender and seems to be evolving a little faster. 1,198 bottles were filled in November 2018.
A very complex white with layered, pastry and gently nutty grilled-almond aromas, ahead of pear, apple and mealy nuances. The palate has terrific texture and detailed tannin with almond, pear and honeysuckle, all wrapped in pastry-like texture. Drink now.
