The modern Crianza 2016 Finca San Martín shows the freshness and elegance of the harvest, with some initial lactic notes that blow off with a little bit of time in the glass, giving way to red berries and spices that are nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied, very silky and harmonious, with fine tannins, and it's nicely balanced and has a clean, refreshing finish. There are some toast and creamy notes that should integrate with a little more time in bottle. A very good clean and modern commercial Rioja that should please a wide audience. 180,000 bottles.- Luis Gutiérrez.
