The 2017 Vendimia Seleccionada is a more modern version of a Rioja, with good freshness through a 50/50 blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. They have reduced the oak in this wine with the idea to show a more naked version of what the vintage. It has juicy fruit and red berries, with the fruit-driven character of the Garnacha and a medium-bodied palate with round, soft tannins. It's very easy to drink, clean and pleasant. Delicious. 28,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2018.
Good energy and transparency to this youthful Rioja, which shows bright blueberries and orange peel. Light to medium body, fine tannins and a fruity, tangy finish. Drink now.
El origen de Gómez Cruzado se remonta a más de un siglo atrás. Se trata de la tercera bodega fundada en el mítico Barrio de la Estación de Haro y la más pequeña de dicho enclave; un verdadero clásico que hoy se renueva.
