The Wine Advocate:

The white 2018 Cepas Viejas was produced from a selection of old vines (60 to 70 years of age), using the individual plants intermixed in the family vineyards (17 different plots), a wine that was always done by the family. It could be something like 80% Godello and then 15% Treixadura and 5% Don Branca, fermented in used, well-seasoned and neutral barriques (now including two 500-liter barrels), where it matured for a further four to six months without bâtonnage. It has a golden color from some 24 hours in contact with the skins, with notes of pollen and quince, very clean, integrated oak and a very complete palate, combining power and very good freshness. It's very tasty and clean. This vintage didn't need any racking and didn't have any reductive aromas. This should make old bones. Only 1,000 bottles were filled in August 2019.
