"Gilles Besse's 2016 Humagne Rouge is another picture book wine from this stunning Valais grape variety. Attractive with pure, fresh and floral-scented red berry aromas and flinty minerality on the nose, this is a delicate, silky-elegant and vibrantly fresh red with concentrated sour cherry notes. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, this characterful Humagne Rouge is clear and bone dry and reveals some Chambolle-Musigny features and a crisp finish. It is a really pleasant red (not just) for Swiss fans of Ghislaine Barthod."
