La Maldita Garnacha Tinta 2021

The explosive nose of the 2021 Garnacha screamed Garnacha, as it's very varietal, with flowers and red fruit, and combines good ripeness with freshness. It's juicy and rich, tasty and with a long dry finish. 2021 was a very good year for freshness and for late-ripening varieties. 2021 is a very good year for Garnacha, for wines with ripeness and freshness. Great value. This is ripe at 14% and has nice balance. 245,000 bottles produced. It was bottled mostly unoaked; only a small fraction of the wine spent a couple of months in barrel.

Rich strawberries, redcurrants, potpourri and Mediterranean herbs on the nose, following through to a juicy, medium-to full-bodied palate with a tight tannin frame. Flavorful, with a spicy finish. Vegan. Drink or hold.
