The Wine Advocate:

The 2016 Lanzaga, the village red from Lanciego, comes from a challenging growing season, despite which, yields were on the high side. It comes from their own head-pruned, organically farmed vineyards where the Tempranillo dominates, but there are always other varieties, mostly Garnacha and Graciano. It fermented in 6,000-liter concrete vats with indigenous yeast and a soft vinification and matured in a combination of used barriques and 1,500- and 2,500-liter oak foudres for 14 months. This is super expressive, bright and floral, with great finesse and nuance. It has a velvety palate with very fine tannins and is harmonious and balanced, with great purity and a bright finish. 20,820 bottles produced. It was bottled between May and June 2018.

James Suckling:

Sweet berries, cherries and flowers with lemon-rind character. Full-bodied, yet tight and very polished with creamy tannins and a beautiful finish. Delicious with lots of fruit. Drink now.
