The pick of a brilliant and highly encouraging series of "village" wines from this Codorniuowned bodega, Alcubilla de Avellaneda comes from a vineyard at 926 metres in Soria, Ribera's easternmost zone. Winemaker Jorge Bombín uses new oak barrels followed by a period in amphoras to produce this intensely fragrant, almost atypical red. Notes of sage, white pepper and red fruit sweetness are underpinned by acidity here. Stunning. 2021-28
A very ripe and slightly exotic wine with crushed, ripe berries and hints of new wood. Full body. Firm and round tannins and a flavorful finish. Pretty big wine. Drinkable, but better in 2020.

En esta añada es un vino excelente, bien podría decirse que es el Hermitage de la Ribera.

Nariz intensa frutal. Cuerpo, tanino y acidez que se complementan muy bien. Bonito color. Muy recomendable.
El mejor Ribera que he probado por ese precio. Súper equilibrado. No tengáis prejuicios porque sea de un gran conglomerado
