Mariflor Malbec 2011

"The 2011 Mariflor Malbec is the first pure Malbec to be produced from Michel Rolland’s vineyard. It has an attractive, well-defined, espresso-scented bouquet with subtle black cherry and dried violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly edgy tannins. It is tightly coiled, with tarry black fruit and a weighty finish this needs a year or two to unfurl. The finish has good grip, but it seems a little coarse at present. Drink 2014-2019."
