A fragrant and complex nose of cherries, plums, roasted spices, dried black mushrooms, refined soy sauce and cigar box. Such a lovely note of umami savoriness! It’s medium-bodied with a fine grip of fine tannins. Delicate, velvety texture, but tight, with a very savory, long and layered finish. Classic Rioja Gran Reserva. Drink from 2023, but will hold beautifully over the next 5-8 years.
The regular Gran Reserva doesn't have the aged complexity of the 1991, a few bottles of which are still on the market, but it's a very smart wine in its own right. Combining Tempranillo with 8% Garnacha and 7% Graciano, the 2015 has attractive mocha oak, granular tannins and notes of graphite, fresh herbs and blackberry fruit. 2024-32.

Buen vino...aunque no de mi estilo
Para amantes de los grandes reserva de Rioja. Un vino mayúsculo.
