Marqués de Griñón Petit Verdot 2010

"The 2008 Dominio de Valdepusa Petit Verdot sees 12 to 15 months in Allier oak. The nose is restrained at first and demands coaxing, reluctantly offering scents of blackberry, pine cones, graphite and sous-bois. The palate is medium-bodied with layers of blackberry, bilberry and a touch of soy, although, as with so many Petit Verdot wines, it is missing an element of tension and delineation on the competent finish. This is a capable Petit Verdot, but I must confess, not particularly memorable. Drink now-2015".
