The direct and pure old vine 2017 Microcósmico Macabeo was obtained by only aging 10% of the wine in 500-liter oak barrels for six months, while the rest was in stainless steel with lees. In reality, it comes all from a vineyard, but they consider it a wine representative of the village of Épila. It has the citrus character I found in the 2017 whites, with an interesting bitter note, developing notes of fennel with time in the glass. Macabeo has been unfairly ignored in Aragón, and it has a lot of potential... 6,500 bottles were filled in April 2018.
Esta bodega nace de una gran amistad y de una verdadera pasión por el vino. De otra manera sería difícil entender cómo uno de sus socios dejó su profesión y el otro puso a disposición del proyecto su garaje y sus viñas familiares.
