Pazo Piñeiro 2013

"The 2010 Pazo Pineiro is a bunch-by-bunch selection and sees six months aging in oak barrels. It has a fresh, slightly creamy, shaved almond-scented bouquet with hints of apple blossom and toffee apple in the background, the oak nicely integrated with the fruit profile. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe red apple, rhubarb and nectarine entry. The acidity is crisp and taut, although the finish needs a touch more cohesion and tension. Still, this constitutes an intriguing Albarino that makes good use of the oak and there is pleasant tang of orange zest lingering on the aftertaste".
