"The 2009 Pico Cuadro Wild is predesigned to be a modern Ribera del Duero, as immediately seen by the unusual bottle design. From vines between 50 and 70-years old, it sees more new oak than the Vendimia Seleccionada and that comes through on the nose that offers a carapace of honeyed dark cherry and boysenberry fruit with hints of wild mint and sage. The palate is full-bodied with sweet, ripe, sappy tannins: layers of blackberry and dark plum interlaced by honey and orange peel. The finish is very sweet with a touch of eucalyptus on the finish. It is impressive, but it lacks a degree of complexity and refinement. Drink 2014-2020".
Pico Cuadro es el resultado de un sueño compartido impulsado en sus orígenes por Felipe Castrillo Martín. Fue en 2005 cuando vieron la luz sus primeros vinos, una producción limitada de 8.800 botellas.
