James Suckling:

Austere, mineral nose with lots of wet stone, quince and a discreet expression of lemon pastry and fine lees that extend to the rich, flavorful and buttery palate. A full-bodied palate carries it with fresh, medium acidity and a long, creamy finish. A hint of pomelo skins. Viura, malvasia and some garnacha blanca. Very serious. Drink now or hold.

The Wine Advocate:

I tasted the first white ever produced at Roda, the 2019 Roda I Blanco, a powerful and ripe white with 14% alcohol and a golden color, a complex nose of yellow fruit, dried flowers and herbs and a spicy touch. The palate is medium to full-bodied, round and juicy, powerful, with a chalky sensation and a long, dry finish.

Decanter:

The imminent arrival of RODA's first ever white was something of an open secret. I have tasted it twice in the last nine months, and it impresses with its mineral, citrus freshness and old vine intensity. Not easy for an established red wine producer to release a white, but they should be pleased. Look out for it when it appears later in 2022. Sarah Jane Evans MW (21 Mar 2022)
