The 2019 Rosé Vulcânico is roughly an equal blend of 25% each of Saborinho, Agronómica, Touriga Nacional and Aragonez, based on proportions of what is in the vineyard. It is very dry and comes in at 11.5% alcohol. A fresh delight for summer drinking, this has beautiful flavor with the fruit always supported by fine acidity. Lingering and refreshing, this is a pleasure to drink. It's not particularly fleshy, and it certainly isn't sweet; so, if that's what you want, look away. This is closer to a white in style than a red wine substitute. It might just age a bit too. There were 32,000 bottles produced. - Mark Squires.
