The 2015 Sínodo Raposeras is pure Tempranillo from a plot of vines planted in 1916 on shallow soils with a high content of active limestone. The hand-harvested grapes were manually destemmed, as they want everything done by hand. Fermentation was done without adding yeasts, and the wine aged in two used French barriques, where it underwent malolactic and 11 months of aging. Both wines from 2015 shared a floral and aromatic profile and felt open and ready. The palate had good balance, with some more tannins here, and it also felt a little more serious. Only 794 bottles were filled in September 2016.
