The Wine Advocate:

"The white 2014 Tentenublo is produced exclusively with grapes grown in the village of Viñaspre, from a vintage complicated by some rain during the harvest. The wine is produced with the cherry-picked white grapes from five different plots. It's a blend of a grape that is not often mentioned, but exists: Calagraño or Jaén Blanca with about 30% Malvasía Riojana and 20% Viura. The whole clusters were pressed with a manual vertical press and the juice put to ferment in 500-liter Hungarian and 300-liter American oak barrels, where the wine matured for five months. The wine felt tight and very mineral, like if it was made with stones rather than grapes, with a chalky austerity. These 'neutral' wines are very transparent with the character of the soils. The palate shows very good volume, with lively, almost citric acidity and finishes with a mineral, tasty, almost salty sensation, especially when you lick your lips afterwards. An austere, mineral, serious Rioja white. 1,866 bottles were filled in April 2015."
