The Wine Advocate:

"Their black label wine, the 2012 Terrras Gauda Etiqueta Negra was one of the pioneers in oak-aged Albariño, in this case blended with 20% Loureiro and 10% Caíño Blanco. The must from the different grapes is blended and fermented in oak barrels where it also matured for four months in contact with the lees with frequent bâttonage. The nose doesn't show notes from the wood, only aromas of roasted sunflower seeds integrated with the yellow and white fruit core, and a spicy touch, mostly on the balsamic side (bay leaf). The palate however shows some tannins and a slightly astringent texture that makes it hard and not so easy to drink. Only 3,825 bottles were produced. The price tag feels a bit heavy".
