Tilenus Pagos de Posada 2010

"The 2010 Tilenus Pagos de Posada, pure Mencía is sourced from a very old vineyard, and was fermented with 15% full clusters in an open oak vat and matured in French barriques for some 16 months. The nose follows the generously oaked style of the house. The fruit is ripe without excess. The palate is quite dry, with abundant, dusty tannins, and it feels very young, it doesn't feel like its more than five-years-old. It's an old style, in a style that makes the wines quite stable over time. This profile has its audience, but it's certainly not what the market demands today. Very good in its style. 15,000 bottles were filled in October 2012".
