"The 2015 Uno is pure ungrafted 55-year-old Monastrell from ten hectares on limestone and sand soils. It fermented in open-top, 1,000-liter vats with indigenous yeasts followed by malolactic in barrel and ten months in 500-liter barriques, 20% of them new. This was also aromatic, open and impressive, floral and surprisingly elegant for a Monastrell, full of character. The palate revealed very good depth, pungent flavors, with very good freshness and persistence. This is a serious Monastrell at an incredible price. It should develop nicely in bottle. 5,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2017."
