Venus de Cartoixá 2015

I tasted the 2015 Venus de Cartoixà next to the 2016, and the two vintages are very different. There is a common theme here, but this 2015 feels riper and more approachable; there is a faint flintiness, and it's lightly smoky/yeasty, with a gentle palate. It has a wild touch on the nose, but the palate feels gentler and easier to understand. 900 bottles produced from just one 600-liter demi-muid.
