Wow, a gorgeously expressive nose ful of exotic orange and sweet marmalade alongside clove and star anise. So interesting and nuanced which follows through on the palate with abundant ripe fruit backed up by spiced chocolate and coffee edging. It's fresh but not cloying with a smoky, softly spiced ending lifting the overall feeling and taste. Concentrated but all extremely well balanced and harmonious. In an excellent drinking window right now. A blend of 96% Semillon, 4% Sauvignon Blanc, ageing 15% in new barrels, 85% in old barrels for 18 months.
A sweet and pretty second wine from the great Suduiraut. Full body, sweet and soft textured. Flavorful finish. Drink now.
Fundado en 1580, tras el matrimonio de Nicole d'Allard con Léonard de Suduiraut, pero no fue hasta 1855, con su inclusión como Premier Cru, en la clasificación de vinos de Gironde, cuando la historia de esta bodega empezó a escribirse.
