The Wine Advocate:
The very young and primary 2019 Castro Ventosa (pink label) is a wine designed to be enjoyed young and fresh, perfect for the by-the-glass market. It is attractive and drinkable, but comparing it with the 2018 showed that these young, unoaked Mencías are even better the second and third (sometimes more!) year after the harvest. This is juicy, clean, varietal and tasty. 50,000 bottles produced. There are five bottlings of this wine.

La familia Pérez dirige en la actualidad esta bodega, pero esta estirpe a la que pertenece el afamado enólogo Raúl Pérez, está vinculada al cultivo de la vid desde el año 1752.

Extraordinario. Uno de los vinos de precio bajo mejores de España y del mundo.
Rojo con toques violáceos. Nariz muy expresiva, fruta roja. Afrutado. Fácil de beber. Servir fresco. Mencía muy representativa de la zona.
