The 2018 Sumpai Sauvignon Blanc was produced with grapes from their Nicolasa vineyard in Huaso (Atacama), from which the Ventisquero team also produce the Tara wines. And even in a place like this northern location where the effect of the years is milder, I could notice the vibrant palate and the more mineral mouthfeel when tasted next to the 2019, which was a warmer year. This wine is always pungent, with herbal and spicy aromas and a light palate with high acidity and moderate alcohol. 2018 was a very balanced and fresh year, and the wine shows it. 8,000 bottles were filled in November 2018.
