The single-vineyard white 2018 Los Peros Albillo is named after the place where the vines grow in the zone of Valdrinoso in the village of San Martín de Valdeiglesias. 2018 was a cooler year, and the wine has a little less alcohol and more acidity than the first vintage, 2017. Fermentation and élevage where similar, in a 300-liter oak vat. The wine is very young and tender and needs some time to open up, showing some notes of peach, flowers and some dry herbs. It has a balanced palate, with volume and freshness. The palate feels very complete, compact and layered, and today, it is better than the nose. Only 400 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2020.
