The eponymous red 2017 Emilio Moro was cropped from a very challenging year, selecting grapes from vines aged between 15 and 25 years of age. It fermented in stainless steel with yeasts selected by them and matured in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 2017s here, the wines keep the freshness and balance, with a medium-bodied palate, sweet fruit and a juicy texture, very pleasant and easy to drink. 850,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2019.
