Opulent and rich but not overdone. Vines are over 60 years old in La Seca and Hornillos de Eresma and carry some of the aniseed bitterness and minty notes typical of the area. It is a creamy wine with very fine oak tannin following fermentation (including partial malolactic) in French oak and ageing for a further 11 months. The oak brings substantial weight and a little woody, gingery spice. Delicate jasmine aromas and a mineral core balance the wine which is sufficiently restrained to maintain its elegance. 2025-29
