Poças Fora da Série Touriga Nacional 2015

The 2015 Touriga Nacional is the first monovarietal vintage here. Bottled just about a month before tasting, it was a little disjointed but still showing well. Tightly wound, with a real backbone, this elegant Touriga is fresh, flavorful and focused. It adds a layer of depth and better structure to the Cavalos reviewed this issue and then finishes tight and stern, with a little steel and stones underneath the fruit. This has some potential, but it does have some questions to answer in the cellar, too. Give it a year of slumber if you can; you may well be rewarded. This is nicely done for a debut vintage. It should hold reasonably well, perhaps better than anticipated.
