The Wine Advocate:
The 2022 Finca de Los Locos is slightly riper than the 2021, with 14% alcohol and a rounder mouthfeel. It matured in 3,500-liter oak vats for one year. It feels young and primary but surprisingly fresh and balanced, more so than the other 2022s. It has fine tannins and a balanced mouthfeel, powerful but with harmony. 9,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2023.
James Suckling:
Floral, expressive and minerally nose, with a touch of dark spices to the exuberant black cherries. Nicely chewy on the palate, with chalky, reactive tannins and fresh acidity. Structured, vertical and tense. Long and all about fruit length. Tempranillo, graciano and viura planted in 1981 and co-fermented. Drink from 2026. -Zekun Shuai, Senior Editor.
