Pepe Mendoza Pequeñas Producciones Velo Flor Tinajas de Padilla 2021

The 2021 Pequeñas Producciones Tinaja de Padilla Velo de Flor was produced with a blend of 48% Macabeo, 48% Merseguera and 4% Moscatel, and it matured in Padilla tinajas for six months, four of them with a layer of flor yeasts to streamline and sharpen the palate. It has 13% alcohol and is clean and pure, with subtle aromas. The effect of the flor is very mild, and it's dry and chalky, very Mediterranean and fresh with a sapid finish, almost salty. This is a serious white, austere, more oxidative, and somewhat of the tradition for whites in the Mediterranean. 3,500 bottles were filled in March 2023.
