Tim Atkin:

A field blend of Ribeiro’s white varieties that are planted in a single parcel around the Coto de Gomariz winery itself, this is a great expression of the region. The wine is fermented in barrel, 100% new oak, which brings attractive oak tannin and some woody, pain d’épices spice. Delicate honey notes combine with lively white pepper and lemon peel, leading to a palate full of apricot, pineapple and a hint of passionfruit. It is elegant, fine and with a vibrant stony core, is built to last.

The Wine Advocate:

The more developed single-vineyard white 2020 Finca O Figueiral Colleita Seleccionada comes from the first vineyard they replanted (in 1978), with a majority of Treixadura and then 5% each Godello and Albariño and the rest Loureira, Lado, Silveiriña, Caíño Blanco, Dona Blanca and others. It matured in 500- and 600-liter barrels (30% new) for 10 months, which gives it a roundness and complexity. It has a golden, almost fluorescent yellow color and an expressive nose with some notes of spice and toast that is neatly integrated into the ripe yellow fruit; the crop achieved good ripeness and 13.9% alcohol, but keeping very good parameters of freshness and acidity. It has a pungent palate with a chalky texture and is tasty, almost salty. 3,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2022. - Luis Gutiérrez.

James Suckling:

This has complex aromas of citrus, honey and peaches. The palate is fresh, flavorful and incisive, with subtle saline and mineral notes that are long and juicy. Made from an old vineyard planted with about 70% treixadura. Drink now.
