James Suckling:
Dense blackberry and black-cherry aromas with notes of bitter chocolate and wet earth make this a charismatic young Chateauneuf. Then on the palate it tastes cooler and more restrained than the nose suggested. The tannins remind me of cocoa powder on the front palate, then they turn “chalky” in texture on the long, very balanced finish. Drink or hold.
