Soalheiro Allo 2023

The only non-Alvarinho wine here in this report is the 2023 Allo, a blend of two grapes: 30% Alvarinho and 70% Loureiro. The Alvarinho provides structure, while the Loureiro imparts more balsamic notes, with florals and aromas of bay leaf (what is what Loureiro means in the Portuguese language). It has only 11.5% alcohol and is light and fresh with very good acidity. It's young and aromatic, pale and clean. Very easy to drink. The full clusters were pressed, then the must fermented in stainless steel and the wine was kept with lees for two months. 150,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2023.
