esús Mendoza says that 2020 was a "complicated year for whites", but you wouldn't know it tasting this stylish assemblage of mostly Viura and Malvasía with small amounts of Alarije, Garnacha Blanca, Maturana Blanca and Moscatel. Barrel-fermented and lees-aged in 85% new French oak, it's focused, taut and hauntingly well balanced, with pastry, aniseed, cinnamon and waxed lemon flavours. 2024-32
