Descrizione

Il secondo vino di La Mission Haut-Brion è la porta d'accesso al mondo di questo château di Pessac-Léognan che, dal 1540, condivide storia e ubicazione su una grande terrazza ghiaiosa con il mitico Château Haut-Brion. Nel 1983 la tenuta è passata nelle mani della famiglia Dillon, che ne ha guidato la rinascita.

Il nome La Chapelle fa riferimento alla cappella di La Mission Haut-Brion costruita dai sacerdoti lazzaristi nel 1698. Nelle prime degustazioni, questa annata 2025 si presenta fresca, rotonda e saporita.

Vista
Colore granato intenso.
Profumo
La prima impressione è intensa, con aromi di frutti rossi molto maturi. Agitando il calice emergono note di ribes nero, mora e spezie.
Bocca
Al palato è fresco, ben definito e preciso. Pur non essendo particolarmente corposo, si sviluppa su tannini morbidi e ben integrati.

Si consiglia di servirlo a 16 °C.

A powerful second wine with lots of chewy tannins and a stony and steely texture. Medium-bodied with a solid core of fruit and a fresh and bright finish. 52.6% cabernet sauvignon, 28.3% merlot, 18% cabernet franc and 1.1% petit verdot.

Decanter:

Nicely fragrant floral aromatics on the nose, expressive and open. Supple and round with a gorgeous soft crushed velvet texture and excellently integrated acidity that keeps it lifted and fresh but not too piercing. Great fruit purity with a lick of salty wet stones on the finish. Beautifully presented, all in harmony with a core of mineral, saline, mint, liquorice, cola, clove and cool aspects. Softly chewy with an enjoyable grip. Yum. Love it! 1.1% Petit Verdot completes the blend.

The 2025 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion, a blend of 52.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28.3% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 1.1% Petit Verdot, reveals a complex and relatively deep bouquet for a second wine, with notes of cassis, blackberry and spice. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and structured, it shows a firm yet elegant profile, supported by a core of freshness through the mid-palate. The tannins are well defined, lending length and structure. This is a more muscular expression of La Chapelle.
