Château Poujeaux è uno dei vini rossi più famosi della zona di Moulis, in Bordeaux. Questa annata, che è venuta fuori da un anno caldo, già dalle prime degustazioni mostra un equilibrio perfetto e armonioso tra la freschezza e la struttura del Cabernet Sauvignon e del Petit Verdot e la morbidezza e la delicatezza del Merlot che compongono il mix finale.

A medium-bodied red with crunchy fruit and tight tannin structure. Juicy acidity coming through. Chewy and solid at the end. Closed and pretty tannins.
Clean and crisp, but tight and compact, initially a gorgeous burst of blue fruit with cool stony edges, dense but refined, before quite firm tannins come into play. I like the energy, adds a touch of vibrancy to the fruit which is appealing before the really quite herbal and spiced tannins take over. Nice potential but not as generous and easy as some. Taught but purposeful. Harvest 15-30 September. Yield of 40hl/ha. 3.85pH. Ageing in French oak for 12 months, 33% new.
Fin dal Medioevo, Poujeaux è un feudo di Lautour Saint-Mambert, che poi diventa il famoso Chateau Latour.
