Champagne Boizel Brut Réserve

Liquorice aromatic notes with resonant plum and red apple. Deep, exuberant, mouth-filling, vigorous and long, this is an exuberant, vinous Champagne with plenty of richly-textured aromatic lift. Crowd-pleasing but connoisseur-pleasing too.

Light greenish-yellow, silver reflections; fine, lively mousse. Fine white tropical fruit, a hint of wild strawberry and lime zest; an inviting bouquet. Juicy, elegant texture, fine fruit expression, delicate peach, white nougat on the finish, good balance, A versatile food wine. (Deg 01. 2019).

Very red apple on the nose and front palate, this is an extremely crisp and straight Champagne that’s very refreshing at the self-confidently dry finish. A cuvee of 40% pinot noir, 35% chardonnay and 25% pinot meunier with 40% of reserve wines from prior vintages. Disgorged in December 2022. Drink now.

This is Boizel's cuvée, an attractively balanced wine with ripe apples and perfumed acidity. Like all Champagnes from this producer, it has a majority of Pinot Noir in the blend bringing richness and a fine texture. Drink now. Roger Voss
